Not much to report but hopefully more interesting items coming up soon including wanted books update, a visit to more artists and the ‘Invisible Ink’ fiasco!
At the moment I am still adding later PAN and Piccolo titles, doing a few of each alternately as it can get a little repetitive. I’m trying to track down a copy of ‘Ghosts, Ghouls and Bones’ by Rowan Barnes-Murphy to complete my Cryptic Library set so if out anyone out there has a spare copy ………. Update 12/12/12 Now have a copy of G,G&Bs and added to display below.

PS I manged to find a copy of ‘James Bond Strikes Camp’ in English but it wasn’t the riveting read I’d hoped for!

Where did you find the story? In Cyril Connolly’s collected works?

Hi Stuart, Yes it’s in ‘The Selected Works Of Cyril Connolly – The Two Natures’ which is volume 2. I got an unread Picador 2002 edition, coincidently published by PAN as I’ve only just noticed, off Amazon for a few pence ( ISBN 0330 486012 ) It’s great to get comments then I know at least one other person, apart from myself, reads my posts! Keep in touch, Tim

        Hi Tim. Thanks for replying.

As “Bond Strikes Camp” is really only a short story, what’s in the rest of the Italian book? Proper Bond stories?

This is merely idle curiosity on my part.

Good to see you’re blogging more regularly now.

Hi Stuart, The Italian book is VERY thin and the main story runs from page 5 to 38 in a large font with wide margins. Pages 41 to 55 are an afterword by Peter Levi which at a quick look without traslating seems to be about Connolly and Fleming from about 1929? You also get 8 blank pages after the index which has all of two entries! I do intend to add more posts and I have the next three lined up but I’ll have to spread them out for when I get writers block. Cheers, Tim

            Hi Tim

OK, I’ve got to ask; what are the two entries in the index?
