I have included images I have found elsewhere to be replaced when I find actual book to scan. Unfortunately the images are mainly from sellers who use a stock images so it is not proving that easy. Nor is dating them as the are all over the place using new and old text blocks. A couple are listed as by John Rose but I&#8217;m wondering how many more of them he might have painted? It is a card that was a tie-in to the film <em><strong>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/2023\/B\/AnneFrank.htm\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The Diary of Anne Frank&#8221; <\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em>which was showing at the local cinema. This was very much encouraged, especially in the film press books, plus there were often <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/Advertising\/Robin\/Robin.htm\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">window displays<\/span><\/strong><\/a> of the book at the same time the film was on locally<\/span>. <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Oddly, Jules tells me, the card was not in a copy of the Anne Frank book but in<\/span> <em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&#8216;<a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/PANG186.htm\">The Cataclysm&#8217;<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">by R C Sherriff<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The second piece was a slip to send to the publicity manager at PAN to order material to tie-in with the release of&#8217;<\/span> &#8216;<em><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">You Only Live Twice&#8217; <\/span><\/strong><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This specifically mentions the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/2018\/YOLT.htm\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">book tuck-in<\/span><\/strong><\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">which I have seen but, sadly don&#8217;t possess.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Riding-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Riding-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14335\" width=\"434\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Riding-1.jpg 578w, https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Riding-1-300x279.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 434px) 100vw, 434px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">By a strange coincidence two<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/HansHelweg\/HansHelweg.htm\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> H<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>a<\/strong>ns Helweg<\/span><\/strong><\/a> related items arrived on the same day. The first was a first of &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/HansHelweg\/HansChildrens.htm\"><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Lassie Come Home&#8217;<\/strong> <\/span><\/em><\/a>illustrated by Hans Helweg which looks as though it has never been read which is not bad considering it is a children&#8217;s book neatly 70 years old. The second was an email from Niels in Denmark to say his father was a good friend of Hans when they were around 16 or 17. He has sent me scans of some of them, three including drawings, which I&#8217;ll be added to his page shortly.
