I have now come across another instance of recycling images.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I spotted that <a title=\"The Saint's Getaway\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tikit.net\/\/PANG294.htm\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&#8216;The Saint&#8217;s Getaway<\/span>&#8216;<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>PAN G294 from 1959 has a\u00a0cover that looks very much like a PEFF and which\u00a0has been\u00a0heavily edited\u00a0for the Hodder 1965 copy of the same title. I find I have <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a title=\"Hodder Titles\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tikit.net\/\/2013 Large\/Saint.htm\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">6 Saint titles<\/span><\/a><\/span> from Hodder in this series style and all of them look as thought the artwork has been acquired from elsewhere (Hodder was briefly part of a consortium that bought out PAN Books) Anyone recognise the others?<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1521\" alt=\"SaintGetaway\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/SaintGetaway.gif\" width=\"156\" height=\"173\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Update to my\u00a0<a title=\"Fame At Last\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tikit.net\/Advertising\/FameatLast.htm\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">posting<\/span><\/span><\/a> about appearing in the papers. So far I have had all on no responses to my request for help in finding the last PAN title X705 &#8216;PAN Junior Crosswords Book 3&#8217; but have been asked several times &#8216;What will you do when completing the collection?&#8217; I have been working on this for a while, hence the Hodder titles for my other website<a title=\"The other TiKiT site.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tikit.org\" target=\"_blank\"> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">www.tikit.org<\/span><\/span> <\/a>to which covers get added on an ad hoc basis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Finally, as a tail note, not sure if there is a link between my exhibition at Walsall Museum and the<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> <a title=\"Express and Star\" href=\"http:\/\/www.expressandstar.com\/news\/2013\/10\/16\/jobs-and-museum-will-be-axed-in-19m-walsall-council-cuts\/\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">news<\/span><\/a> <\/span>that has appeared in the papers this week, I hope not.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Back in March I posted about a French book having the same picture on its cover as a PAN one.
