I don&#8217;t think they would be allowed to say it &#8220;&#8230; will suit a man&#8230;&#8221; these days. There was also a connection in that Richard Ballantine, the son of Ian and Betty Ballantine, had his best selling <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tikit.net\/2016\/Richard.htm\">&#8216;Richard&#8217;s Bicycle Book&#8217; <\/a><\/span>published in the UK in both PAN and Piccolo editions plus by Ballantine in the States. Richard was born in New York in 1940 and moved to the UK\u00a0in the 70&#8217;s. He died in London in 2013. PAN also published &#8216;Richard&#8217;s Mountain Bike Book&#8217;, &#8216;Richards 21st Century Bicycle Book&#8217; and &#8216;Richard&#8217;s Cycling for Fitness&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Richard.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4379\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Richard-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Richard\" width=\"500\" height=\"499\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Richard-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Richard-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Richard.jpg 504w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a>I was intrigued to see he is wearing the same jumper in the photo as on the book cover but then again I had a very similar favourite jumper back in the 70&#8217;s<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Finally thanks to Peter who pointed out that I had a duplicate scan in the<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tikit.net\/Piccolo\/CraftBooks.htm\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Craft Books<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">series <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I mentioned last week.
