It reminds me a bit of Rubik&#8217;s Snake which I still have somewhere.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5058 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Snake.jpg\" width=\"389\" height=\"113\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Snake.jpg 389w, https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Snake-300x87.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 389px) 100vw, 389px\" \/>I have to admit that occasionally I stray and look at other publishers covers and I especially like the Ballantine Adult Fantasy series. My excuse is that some of these were jointly published by PAN\/Ballantine and usually list both publishers on the cover. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5067 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Logo.jpg\" width=\"148\" height=\"151\" \/>This week I picked up a copy of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tikit.net\/2017\/Isles.htm\">&#8216;The Water of the Wondrous Isles&#8217; <\/a><\/span>by William Morris that appeared to be just a Ballantine but when I opened it I found it said it was PAN\/Ballantine. It is printed in the UK but has the Ballantine ISBN on the cover, is this a case of using US covers on UK\u00a0 printed text blocks?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5059 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tikit.net\/panfans\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Jem.jpg\" width=\"257\" height=\"49\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I was also really pleased to hear from James Edwin McConnell&#8217;s daughter, Ann, this week This was in response to a blog quite a while ago when I mentioned the cover for <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tikit.net\/PANX32.htm\">&#8216;Ben-Hur&#8217;<\/a> <\/span>was by McConnell and Ann confirmed that her Father always signed &#8216;Jas&#8217; and not James. She also mentioned there is a book coming out shortly on the work of her Father.
